About

Hello, dear friends, and welcome to Safta.

As a third-culture kid, home has never been just one place. It’s a feeling I chase through time, through scent, through passed down rituals, or heirloom pieces. I find it in the aroma of whole cloves simmering in Cream of Wheat, in the rhythm of dough hitting hot oil in my grandmother’s Trinidadian kitchen, in the echoes of UB40 playing at my family's pool parties in the '90s. Home is found in my grandfather’s Turkish aftershave mingling with the warm air of Kfar Saba, in the taste of malawach dipped in tomato, enjoyed on a sunny Shabbat afternoon with a view of the Mediterranean Sea.

These moments—fragments of a life woven between cultures—became a calling. A longing to capture the essence of home, to recreate the joy, connection, and beauty that shaped me. And from this, Safta was born.

Safta is a lifestyle brand dedicated to slowness, ritual, and community. It is a landing place for the things that bring us back to center—back to the home within ourselves.

At Safta, everything is made by hand. Each piece is crafted by artists, created in small, limited-run batches with care and intention. From textiles to ceramics, tableware and adornment, every object carries the imprint of the human hand, the spirit of intentionality, and the energy of carrying on tradition.

Safta means “grandmother” in Hebrew. Inspired by the wisdom of my own Safta Becky—who embodies the art of living well—I honor all the matriarchs who have held space for us, who have nurtured traditions, and who have shown us how to live with joy and connection.

Safta is an invitation to return—to ritual, to meaning, to the slow and beautiful art of living. It is where culture, tradition, and softer living meet. It is a space to land, to remember, and to create new traditions of our own.

Welcome home.
