Welcome to the slower way. Every item at Shop Safta is made or shipped with care, reverence, and intention. Below are answers to our most common questions.

## Orders & Shipping

**When will my order ship?**  
For ready-to-ship items please allow **3–5 business days** for processing. Once shipped, orders typically arrive within **7–10 business days**. Refunds on lost packages will not be processed until the product returns to us or is declared lost by the courier. We are not Amazon—thank you for embracing the pace of slower living. 

**Do you ship internationally?**  
Currently, we ship within the U.S. only. We hope to expand soon—join our email list for updates.

**How much does shipping cost?**  
Shipping rates are calculated at checkout based on your location and order size.

## Handmade Talismans

**What’s the timeline for custom talismans?**  
Custom pieces are handmade with care and take approximately **4–6 weeks** for concept development, sourcing, and crafting. Once complete, we will email you with a photo of the final piece for approval before sending an invoice. Please allow an additional **7–10 days** for delivery.

**Is jewelry available as a gift?**  
Absolutely. Include your gift message at checkout. We wrap jewelry with care and can include a handwritten note by request.

## Products & Sizing

**Where are your products made?**  
All jewelry is made in-house by the founder of Safta, Maya Ojalvo Oren. All other products are sourced and conceptualized with care, made locally with artists in Brooklyn or in countries where Maya has a personal connection. Each piece is art, and meant to be cherished. 

**Will you restock sold-out items?**  
Some pieces are limited edition. However, you can sign up for restock notifications on the product page or sign up to our email list for updates.

## 💛 About Safta

**What does "Safta" mean?**  
“Safta” means grandmother in Hebrew. This brand is a celebration of the Mediterranean way of life: slow rituals, shared meals, meaningful beauty, and finding the sacred in the everyday.

**Is this a Jewish brand?**  
We are culturally rooted in Jewish, West Indian, and Mediterranean traditions. But Safta is for anyone who values warmth, togetherness, and intentional living.

## Product Care

**How do I care for my handmade jewelry?**  
Avoid water, perfume, and oils to protect your piece. Store in a soft pouch or jewelry box when not in use.

## Returns & Exchanges

**What is your return policy?**  
**Custom jewelry and final sale items are not eligible for return.** Ready-made jewelry or other products in the marketplace are elligible for return if they are in good condition within a 30-day window. Return shipping is the responsibility of the customer.

**How do I start a return?**
